Saucy Splurge Recipes
Overview

With this project I dipped my toes into Articulate Rise 360, a tool which I hadn’t worked with before. While it’s extremely simple and the results are stunning, I miss some of the functionality afforded by Storyline. So, this project centers around a quick-and-easy recipe book. Each recipe has the same structure:
- Brief introduction
- Hotspot interactivity showing all the ingredients
- Interactive video recipe (built in Storyline 360)
- Recommended pairings
For this project I took an approach that focuses on visuals using stock videos related to the step being followed and beautifully framed stock images, audio in the form of light-hearted music and pleasing ASMR related tothe step (waiting for smell-o-vision to make its comeback), while using text instructions that build seamlessly in time with the music. An all-round feast for the senses.
For the sake of time, I have only created one recipe, an old favourite, the "Simple Pot Roast." Another point to note is I used free images and videos from a variety of stock websites. The same idea can also be customised if working on a actual project to record videos of the actual cooking process and use loops of the best looking parts.

Further Improvements
As I said earlier, though stunning and simple, I yearned for some more functionality and customisability.
- Uniform colour theme for the entire project, right now you have to set the background colour for each element. Additionally, some elements have a fixed background colour (hotspot text, heading, main page).
- Ability to add videos to the main page/introduction. Right now, the Saucy Splurge introductory snippet appears before every recipe. It would be nice to be able to add a single video in the introduction section. Currently Rise only supports text and list elements in the introduction section.
